The Redcliffe Tigers Australian Rules Club has been regretfully made aware of Troy Mitchell’s tragic passing.
Troy came to our football club after an illustrious career at the Redcliffe Dolphins in 2003.
Troy loved playing, but not so much training, were he would hide behind the door to avoid the coach picking him up, it was this shenanigans and jovial nature that endured him to all who knew him at Redcliffe.
On the AFL field he will be remembered for his clean hands and unwavering commitment to the ball, and anyone who was on the end of one of his tackles wouldn’t line up for a second.
Troy was a footballer from an older era, worked hard on the ground and loved to play off it, socially he was happy and a pleasure to be around.
Troy played until 2005 in which the club won the senior premiership rewarding his hard work and commitment.
Many around the Club and Redcliffe will have great stories involving Troy and it’s with no doubt that he will be sorely missed.
The Redcliffe Tigers Australian Rules Club and its members would like to pass on our deepest condolences to Troy’s family and Friends
