Tiger's send Historian's to the record books.

Redcliffe Tigers Life Member and Club Historian, Ray White was searching through the record books after the Tigers completely annihilated Logan City by 201 points at Rothwell Park last Saturday. Redcliffe 40.17.257 to Logan City's 8.8.56 is the Tigers 2nd highest score in history. Previously against Robina in 2002, Redcliffe kicked 43.16.274 to Robina's 5.3.33. The greatest winning margin in the Tigers history is held by last years Premiership winning U16's team who defeated Caboolture by 252 points, kicking 39.18.252 to Caboolture's 0.0.0.
The Tigers were sensational from the start, kicking 8 goals to 4 in the first quarter, but that's when things started to heat up. A very fired up Logan City took the field in the 2nd and focused more on the man than the ball, which ultimately resulted in 4 Logan City players being report, and it only motivated the Tigers into top gear. The 2nd quarter Redcliffe added 11 goals to Logan City's 1, too hold a commanding 84 point lead at Half time. The Tigers could smell the scent of a big victory, but it was important that they weren't lured into the oppositions game tactics. The 3rd quarter produced much of the same as Redcliffe piled on another 9 goals to Logan City's 2 to go into the final quarter leading by a massive 129 points, but the Tigers weren't finished yet. In an amazing last quarter, it became a shoot out between Josh Bond and Kieran Ashby to see who could get to 10 goals first. The Tigers had 18 scoring shots, kicking 12 goals 6 too Logan City's one solitary goal. Redcliffe ran out eventual winners 40.17.257 to Logan City 8.8.56. Joshua Bond was outstanding all day and finished with 10 goals straight, while Kieran Ashby chipped in with 9 of his own. Coach Paul Albon stressed to the Boys after the big win, not to become complacent as they look forward to challenging Moorooka next week at Rothwell Park.
The Reserves also has a fantastic win on the weekend. They comfortably defeated Logan City 13.12.90 to 4.2.26. Jason Burgoyne was amongst the best while Tim Toolie Backhouse was a great contributor in his first game back since a wrist operation last year.
