Those of us that were there all saw what our TEAM of great kids did and I am just so proud of their efforts. Yes there was some who had a huge influence on the result and yes there were some that would of liked to have had more influence but when you get to this stage of the season the focus we all should have is to get the best TEAM result possible. For this TEAM to fight back, not once but twice, is a true sign of great character, a true sign of TIGER spirit. Each and every one of the twenty two players that put on a TIGER jumper did what was asked of them. I have said it all season, we need everyone competing at each contest they are in and we had that during this game. To see players working hard for each other, running back to take marks with opponents coming the other way, our little blokes competing for marks against much bigger opponents and all the players not wanting to give up chasing or running the footy our way was just sensational.
The exciting and unbelievable part is that there is opportunity for the TEAM to improve on that effort and our focus must now move to playing Yeronga next Saturday. I could name every player for their contribution on Saturday. Every player, including Emily & Michael,  please know that all of your efforts were noticed and your reward for that is the opportunity to continue to be part of this awesome under 12s TEAM for our next challenge ahead.
To all the relatives and friends who came along to support the TEAM, your loud cheering really lifted the TEAM and I look forward to seeing even more Tigers supporters up at Caboolture this week when we take on Yeronga. Thank you to the Under 14s team, your support and encouragement for the TEAM had a real impact.
Thank you to our TEAM helpers, your efforts are very much appreciated. Anyone who is able to help out with the water carrying ect please contact Tracey or Kerrie as early as possible this week so we know that it is all organised prior to game day.
To the Junior Committee and all the other volunteers on Saturday I would like to congratulate you on your efforts. The day was a fantastic advertisement for our club. We have a lot to be proud of at our great club and this comes from having people who continually put their hands up to ensure they are having a constructive and positive influence around our Kids. Our club volunteers were on hand Friday night for the under 8s to under11s presentation night and then back again Saturday morning from about 6.30am working hard all day. A huge effort and well done everyone involved.
The Tigers under 16s side had a great win on Sunday against Morningside. Our boys out played, out smarted, and totally intimidated their opponents with their attack on the footy and their will to win for each other. Well done to everyone involved and all the best for this week’s game.
