New U16's Coach Appointed

The club would like to announce that Anthony Ryan will now be the Head Coach of the U16's season 2017.

Dave 'Jock' McCreadie will stay on as Assistant Coach along with Callum Hill. It was a tough call for Dave to relinquish the head coaching job, however after many conversations between Dave, Ryno and the club, it was mutually agreed that Ryno, with the knowledge and experience of our great game would be a very suitable replacement for Dave as head coach of the U16's. This will help free up some of Dave's time as he strives to lead our seniors into another finals campaign this season.

U16's training will start this Tuesday afternoon at 4;30PM.

Anthony can be contacted on Mob: 0439 665 433

Here's a little about Anthony Ryan.

I am 47 years old and love my footy. I moved to Brisbane with my wife Tess, Daughter Caitlyn and Son Tim in 2010.  We love the area and our proud to have supported the Redcliffe Tigers since our move.

I am a mechanic by trade and have owned a successive truck business for many years.  On Moving to Brisbane I purchased Peninsula Auto Spares located in Clontarf.

My AFL career spans over 35 years playing, coaching and as a committee member.  My football career began playing for the Upwey Tigers at the age of 7.  I continued to play for the club for 19 years and obtained 6 premierships with the club, 5 of which were as a senior player.  I represented my district YVMDFL in 1984 and 1994 and trained with the North Melbourne under 19 team in 1987 before a knee injury set me back.

I coached the Upwey U17’s in 1998 and 1999 where we achieved a preliminary final result in both years. In 2008 I coached my sons AUS kick side.

My family and I moved to Brisbane in 2010 and I began playing for the Redcliffe Masters team and was awarded the Most Consistent player award both years.
