Reserves Report:

After beating Caboolture in one of our best wins for the year our confident Tiger team turned up for the clash against Nambour a little relaxed. Having a good team on paper and the expectations being high, that newly found confidence was soon lost.

The first Quarter showed who was there to play, with Nambour starting off very fast booting 4 goals to our none. Our accountability was the major factor in the quarter which also continued into the second quarter allowing Nambour to kick two more quickly. The last half of the second quarter we got some confidence back with our backline and midfield working the ball nicely up to the forwards. Our bigger targets now finding their feet meant we could pinch a couple of late goals back.

The start of the third was following the same trend as the rest of the game. We never really got going but our attitude and a few stand outs, never let the game get to far away from us, that was at least until the last. In the last, we suffered our worst quarter of the year dropping our heads and letting the slightly bigger Nambour team to run away with the game giving us our worst defeat for the year.
Although it’s hard to take much out of a game like that I think we can learn from our mistakes and build off them.

We also had some individual stand outs, Nick Spring in a B.O.G performance and our young ruckman J.T winning all day. Once again a couple of our elders in Shane Ward and Craig Carmen stood up to every challenge, a special mention must go out to Scott Forbes who captained the team first time and led by example having one of, if not his best game of the year.
