Masters 'Be A Man' Carnival Day





Masters have their first hitout for the season Saturday week, 23rd March at Sandgate.

To accomodate all teams, the carnival has been set up like the NAB Cup preliminary rounds.

Groups of three teams playing 2 x 1/2s against each other.

The Tigers are playing in the first group against Sandgate then Aspley, so why not make a day of it, Masters in the morning then Seniors and Reserves at Pine Rivers from 12 Noon.

Name of the Event:                   The 2013 AFLQ Masters ‘BE A MAN’ Carnival

Date of the Event:                     Saturday 23rd March 2013

Time of the Event:                    8:00am – 6:00pm

Location of the Event:              Sandgate Hawks Sporting Club

                                                120 Lemke Road, Taigum 4018

Expected Attendance:         

1000 pax

§   300 players

§   600 supporters

§   100 sponsors, media, stall  holders, volunteers, invited guests


Event Objectives


In terms of funds raised to support the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, the goal is $1,800 to $2,400. This equates to 12 teams generating approximately $150 to $200 of fundraising each. As well as raising funds to support the PCFA, a prime objective of the event is to promote men’s health.

In addition to the entry fee, money boxes (in team colours) will be going around the ground.


A prize will be award to the team that attracts/generates the most fundraising. N.B. Sandgate is not eligible for this prize.


.Event Facilities



Free, all day, car parking is available at the Sandgate Hawks Sporting Club, 120 Lemke Road, Taigum 4018.


Food and Beverage

A percentage of all food and beverage takings will be donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

Children’s’ Facilities

A percentage of all children’s activities takings will be donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

o   Face Painting from 8am to 1pm - $5

o   Clowns from 10:30am to 12:30pm - Free




All raffle tickets will be sold and drawn on the day of the event.  All prizes are to be collected upon being drawn.
