Who are the Redcliffe Tigers?

 

·        Established November 1974, home games first played at Clontarf Beach State High School, moving to the location at McGahey Street Rothwell, in 1977.  

·        Juniors started participating in competitions from 1981.

·        Have a strong community focus in Northern suburbs, particularly on Redcliffe Peninsula, Deception Bay and the North Lakes/Mango Hill Areas (Relay for Life Events)

·        Teams include; Seniors, Reserves, Masters, U18’s through to U8’s and Auskick.

·        Now have over 800 members and with continued population growth through Northern Brisbane corridor expecting this to grow steadily in coming years.   

·        We have a website which has all our club news, sponsors, photos, etc and has become a go-to source of information for all of our members (usage attached).

·        Have tasted success on the field over many years, with both Juniors and Senior teams winning many Grand Finals, and we have cemented ourselves as a key destination for the growth of AFL in the Northern Brisbane Area.

·         Our goal on the field is to be playing in the highest level available to us within 5 years, to do this we need the support of community focused and like minded sponsors.

Net Sponsorship (Behind Goal Posts) - $2,000 (Inc GST)

 

Includes (12 Month period):

·        This sponsorship allows for a 5m x 2.5m sign advertising your business to be displayed in prime position on the Net (reaching height approx 15m) directly behind one set of goal posts.

 

·        This Net sign will be fully visible at all times during the 12 month period and is visible at training, games and functions from all areas of the football ground, especially from the club house.

·        Club website promotion with link to your website and space for key details (loc, email, phone) and 3-4 lines about your business. Weekly Best Players Award Sponsorship

 

·        This involves your business providing a voucher/coupon to the value of approximately $50 per week to the Best Player/Players within the team, which they can then use before an expiry date at your business.

·        This could be in the form of one $50 voucher for the best player, or two $25 vouchers given to the best 2 players (to increase exposure of your business).

·        If you wish to provide more vouchers, or increase the value of the vouchers, this is accepted; however a minimum value of $50 is required per game.

·        A fair period of available use of the vouchers before expiry is required to encourage usage and provide benefit to both the players and your business as a result.

·        Seniors, Reserves and U18’s each play approximately 18 games per season, taking this into account results in an approximate sponsorship expense of (50*18) $900, providing direct promotion for your business.

·        Masters play every second week and as such have approximately 9 games per season, taking this into account results in an approximate sponsorship expense of (50*9) $450, providing direct promotion for your business.


Who is our Executive Board?

Steve Brown (President):

·        Joined the club in 2003 – Assistant coach & team manager for Reserves Team.

·        2004 – Co creator of 1st ever U18’s team. Assistant coach & Team manager.

·        2005/06 – Assistant Coach & team manager for Ladies Team. Premiers in 2005.

·        2007/08 – Assistant Coach U16’s. Premiers in 2007.

·        2009 – Re-built U18’s Team after previously being discarded. Assistant Coach.

·        2010/11 – Assisting all teams through Juniors to Masters.

·        2009-2011 – Senior Football Manager. MC for Senior Presentation Nights.

·        2007-2011 – Committee Member. 2008-2011 – Vice President of Club.

·        2004-2011 – Club Photographer, Media Liaison and Website Manager.

·        Private Work – Currently Area Sales Manager for Imperial Ware Australia. Previously been State/Regional Manager for other companies in QLD & VIC.

Chris Nicholson (Vice President):

·        2001 – U8’s Co-Coach and overall Volunteer and coordinator for the team.

·        2002 – Junior Sponsor and volunteer across numerous teams.

·        2008 – U12’s assistant coach. Developing the Grand Final winning team.

·        2009 – U12’s Coach. Grand final side.

·        2010 – U14’s Assistant coach of Division 1 team. U18’s Assistant coach.

·        2011 – U18’s Assistant coach.

·        2009-2011 – Junior and Senior Committee Member.

·        Private Work – Self Employed Manager of numerous retail shops around the North Brisbane Area.

Matt Palmer (Treasurer):

·        Joined the club in 1998 as a 6 year old, playing in the U8’s team.

·        Played 14 seasons of Football with the club (1998-Present) spanning from U8’s to Senior Football Team 2011. Over 200 games of Football for Redcliffe Tigers.

·        Captain of Redcliffe Tigers Teams from 2006-2010 (U14’s, U16’s and U18’s).

·        2005 – U14’s Premiers. 2007 – U16’s Premiers.

·        2006-2008 – Best and Fairest of associated Team. 2009 Runner up B&F.

·        2009 – State Finalist in the Lions Youth of the Year.

·        Completed High School at Grace Lutheran College in 2009, received an OP 1 and was Runner up Dux of year 12.

·        2011 – Deputy Vice Captain of the Redcliffe Tigers Senior Team.

·        Currently completing a Bachelor of Economics and Commerce at the University of Queensland (UQ).

·        2011 – Tutor at UQ; 1st year economics. 2008 - 2011 – Tutor of High School subjects.

Debbie Dickfos (Secretary):

·        Has been a volunteer at the Redcliffe Tigers for 9 years (2003-Present)

·        Has been a Team manager of various teams (U14’s-18’s) for 5 years.

·        Has been Junior Club President for 5 years.

·        Registrar and Club Photo Organiser for 5 years.

·        2011 – Club Secretary and junior president adviser.

·        During involvement with Juniors; numbers have continued to swell and teams have achieved 5 premierships in that time.

·        Earned a strong level of respect & appreciation from AFLQ, AFLBJ, Northern Development AFLQ Team, council members and members of parliament.
