Councillors Cup April 13
It's a battle of the Tigers v LionsCouncillors Cup April 13
This day represents a healthy long standing competition known as the Councillors Cup between Redcliffe Tigers and Moreton Bay Lions.
While this day is generally about the rivalry between Redcliffe and Moreton Bay. This event is also about supporting a former player and his family. Ricky played at Redcliffe for a number of years and was lucky enough to playing in the winning 2008 Grand Final. His son Jack has been recently diagnosed with Burkitt's Lymphoma (an aggressive form of cancer that can be fatal if left untreated. Ricky is a single father and although Medicare will help cover most cost, Ricky has had to give up work to be with Jack during his treatment and as we know bills for day to day living do not stop. Any support for a former Tiger is greatly appreciated.
