The Redcliffe Tigers AFC has faced many adversities in the past and as far as we're concerned, this is just another one, albeit the worst flood levels ever reached. However we're already rebounding with the wonderful support from our hard working volunteers and the generosity from the local community after hearing about our 2nd major flood in 10 weeks.
We have had State and Local Government members, together with the Director General of the QLD State Sport Department inspect the field and rooms this week and all agree, something must and will be done. Re-location has now become the focal point, however that will take time, so patience is needed.
So the good news is, something will now be done.
On another great note, the upstairs renovations are back on track. The roof is on and most of the windows and doors are in place so its only days away from lock up. The rest should happen pretty quickly. All going well (surely we've run out of our bad luck by now) we hope to be holding a Grand Opening sometime next month, so the upstairs Social Rooms will again be open, which is something we've missed terribly...
We really do need to call on all our members, volunteers and supporters to maintain the Club's Pride and Spirit that has made this great club what it is and to keep helping out in these tough times while we get everything back on track.
Our future is now starting to look very bright, so stay on board and lets make sure this proud club stays proud for many years to come on the Peninsula.
