Redcliffe Tigers are excited to announce the appointment of Chris Pepper as head coach for the U14s in the 2017 season.
Chris was born in the Sth East of Melbourne and played his junior football with the Parkmore Junior Football Club.
Chris played senior football in the SE Suburbs league of Melbourne before relocating to Canberra. After settling on a club (Australian National University) he played in many finals series, his team winning 4 first grade premierships through the mid 90s. During this time he was awarded Best Clubman and Players Players.
Chris then joined the ACT masters where he represented the ACT in numerous National Carnivals. He also travelled to Ireland with the Australian team to compete in the International Rules series in 2006 and again in the return visit in 2008.
Chris and his family now live in Brisbane and have been involved with the Redcliffe Tigers for 5 years. He has completed his level 1 coaching certification and in the process of obtaining his Level 2 accreditation.
Chris has been recognized by the AFLQ as quality coach and was appointed assistant coach of the Moreton Bay U14’s in the recent 2016 State Academy Championships.
Chris will be very ably assisted by Marcus Olive and other specialist coaches with experience at the top level (AFL).
We just love the enthusiasm, communication, knowledge and experience Chris brings to our club. We feel our future champions are in good hands under his tutelage.
With the prospect of 2 U14 teams in 2017 we look forward to welcoming back past and present players for season 2017. If you’re new to the area and looking for a team with great structure and camaraderie or just looking for a change of scenery for your son or daughter, feel free to contact the club.
We wish Chris and the team all the best in the coming season.
