It is with great regret and sadness that after 15 years of service to the Redcliffe Tigers football club that it has come time for me to step away.
I have experienced many highs and lows over the years, however the highlights have been the 10+ Senior, Reserves, Woman's and Youth premiership victories for the club during this period. The club has developed and grown in such a way that the Moreton Bay Region Council have invested in the development of the new $21m AFL Sporting Fields at Nathan Road. The club in it's 42 year history has never been in a better financial position that it's in now. This will place the club in a fantastic position moving forwards. The opportunities are endless which is something the current and past committee members can be very proud of.
There is another group who feel they can do a better job at protecting our brand than the current committee. As I have always had the best interest of our club at heart, I will step aside, therefore I tender my resignation effective immediately. I can assure you that this has not been an easy decision to make. This has not been my wish as I would have preferred to of had the opportunity to complete this season and my 2 year commitment as President, and the full 4 year term on the committee as per the clubs constitution.
There are many people I would like to thank, however there’s too many to include in this post after 15 years, but in saying that, I would like to make a special mention and special thank you to Gayle Lynne (Life Member), Arnold Keuker, Peter Roche, Adam Carroll, Dannielle Brown, Councillor James Houghton, Paul Melville (MBRC), Barry Anderson, Andrew Kouvaras, Ray White (Co-Founder & Life Member), Steve Jenkins (Life Member) and Dean Milstead for your continued help and support over the very memorable and successful years.
I strongly encourage you all to get along to the club’s AGM this Monday night to have your say in who the new committee should be.
I wish everyone at the club all the very best for the season ahead.
After 15+ years of volunteering for the Redcliffe Tigers AFC it is with a lot of regret that I am formally handing in my resignation as Secretary of the Redcliffe Tigers AFC football club taking effect immediately.
This decision has not been taken lightly but I cannot continue my services due to the course of events over the last few weeks.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the current committee, especially Steve Brown who is a Life Member of our club and who has taken this club to a high level of professionalism and respect within the AFLQ community which is evident with Steve being named AFLQ QAFA 2016 Club Administrator of the Year, also Peter Roche (2016 AFLQ Colts Team Manager of the Year) , Adam Carroll, Arnold Keuker, Ray White and Dannielle Brown for your support and friendship that you have shown me over the years.
